Halls of Stone: A Son of Stars Saga Prelude is a short and simple JRPG for the Gameboy Color made for the Beginner's Jam Summer 2025. 

The story starts out with an unnamed child, the last human, wandering the wastes of a dying planet. After stumbling upon a small village, the kid discovers something strange: a giant castle amid the sands. 

But soon, he comes to realize there's more to this place when a magical being appears and urges him to enter the castle, embark on a quest. Perhaps the last quest that would ever be handed out to a living human. And possibly the most important that could ever be offered.

Fight your way through the castle and discover the secrets hidden within. Strange beasts await. Level up and gain new powers. Save yourself, and possibly restore humanity too.
